“Agay is a paradise where even the dust is fragrant.” -

Agay, located in one of the most beautiful harbors on the coast between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, is the natural gateway to Estérel. It offers three fine sandy beaches and a terraced area with access to the sea through the rocks. Very sheltered, it was appreciated by sailors (Agay means “favorable” in Greek).
With the arrival of the railway in 1860, many artists stopped over in Agay: the painter Louis Valtat, the composer Vincent d'Indy, the writers Guy de Maupassant and Maurice Donnay stayed there as well as Saint-Exupéry (do not miss the Fountain for the Little Prince, erected in his homage). Albert Cohen located part of the action of Belle du Seigneur there
Well sheltered between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, the bay of Agay is a natural gateway to the Estérel massif.
Its configuration makes it a very popular place for sailors (Agay also means "favorable" in Greek). You will appreciate its three fine sandy beaches, the summit of Rastel and its red rocks, overlooking the harbor and offering a breathtaking panorama.
Agay also has a small port area with 166 berths, so a few are available for reception, as well as an organized mooring area.

SAINT RAPHAEL
HEART OF TOWN AND OLD TOWN
From the old “village district” where the Raphael peasants lived today, the narrow and shady streets that make up the old town remain.
Every day, this area hosts a flower and vegetable market where you will only find typical Provencal food.
A little further on, stands the Romanesque church, a listed historic monument, which was enlarged in the 18th century, but built in the 12th century! Its presbytery now houses the Archaeological Museum of Saint-Raphaël. Its 22 m watchtower, dated around the 14th century, offers a splendid panorama.
The "Quartier de la Marine", once frequented by the town's fishermen, has gradually turned into a seaside resort. A casino, as well as many villas, were built there in order to create a truly attractive city center.
Points of interest
Basilica of Our Lady of la Victoire: building built by Pierre Aublé between 1882 and 1889, representative of the Romano-Byzantine style very popular during the Belle Epoque.
Museum of Prehistory and Underwater Archeology: it contains collections from local heritage, prehistory as well as Roman antiquity from underwater excavations.
Louis de Funès Museum: more than 350 documents are presented, including personal photographs, shootings and films, drawings in particular by Louis de Funès, letters such as those by Jean Anouilh, but also film extracts, some of which are unknown. Digital tour of the Museum.
Promenade des Bains: this walk was carried out between 1880 and 1882 under the name of "Terrasse des Bains". We can consider that it marks the beginning of the tourist era in Saint-Raphaël
Le Jardin Bonaparte: dominant position over the bay and the old port, with 20,000 m² of garden. Its central part is fitted out as a public square with play areas for children.
