“Agay is a paradise where even the dust is fragrant.” –
Agay, located in one of the most beautiful harbors on the coast between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, is the natural gateway to the Estérel. It offers three fine sandy beaches and a terraced area with access to the sea via the rocks. Very sheltered, it was appreciated by navigators (Agay means “favorable” in Greek).
With the arrival of the railway in 1860, many artists stopped off at Agay: the painter Louis Valtat, the composer Vincent d'Indy, the writers Guy de Maupassant and Maurice Donnay stayed there as well as Saint-Exupéry (not to be missed the Fountain for the Little Prince, erected in his homage). Albert Cohen located part of the action of Belle du Seigneur there
Well sheltered between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, the harbor of Agay is a natural gateway to the Estérel massif.
Its configuration also makes it a place very appreciated by navigators (Agay means “favorable” in Greek). You will appreciate its three fine sandy beaches, the summit of Rastel and its red rocks, dominating the harbor and offering a breathtaking panorama.
Agay also has a small port area with 166 berths, so a few are available for reception, as well as an organized mooring area.
