“Agay is a paradise where even the dust is fragrant.” –

Agay, located in one of the most beautiful bays on the coast between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, is the natural gateway to the Esterel. It offers three fine sandy beaches and a terraced area with access to the sea via the rocks. Well sheltered, it was a favorite with sailors (Agay means “favorable” in Greek).

With the arrival of the railway in 1860, many artists stopped in Agay: the painter Louis Valtat, the composer Vincent d’Indy, the writers Guy de Maupassant and Maurice Donnay stayed there as well as Saint-Exupéry (do not miss the Fountain for the Little Prince, erected in his homage). Albert Cohen set part of the action of Belle du Seigneur here.
Well sheltered between Cap Dramont and Pointe de la Baumette, the Agay harbor forms a natural gateway to the Esterel Massif.

Its configuration makes it a very popular spot for sailors (Agay, in fact, means "favorable" in Greek). You will appreciate its three fine sandy beaches, the summit of Rastel with its red rocks, overlooking the harbor and offering a breathtaking panorama.
Agay also has a small marina with 166 berths, some of which are available for guests, as well as an organized mooring area.

SAINT-RAPHAËL
CITY CENTER AND OLD TOWN
From the former "village quarter" where the farmers of Saint-Raphaël lived, the narrow, shaded streets that make up the old town still remain.

Every day, this quarter hosts a flower and vegetable market where you'll find only typical Provençal produce.

A little further on stands the Romanesque church, a listed historical monument, which was enlarged in the 18th century, but was originally built in the 12th century! Its presbytery now houses the Archaeological Museum of Saint-Raphaël. Its 22-meter watchtower, dating from around the 14th century, offers a splendid panoramic view.

The "Marine Quarter," once frequented by the town's fishermen, has gradually transformed into a seaside resort. A casino, as well as numerous villas, have been built there to create a truly attractive town center. Points of interest
Basilica of Our Lady of Victory: a building constructed by Pierre Aublé between 1882 and 1889, representative of the Romano-Byzantine style very fashionable during the Belle Époque.
Museum of Prehistory and Underwater Archaeology: it houses collections from local heritage, prehistory, and Roman antiquity, all recovered from underwater excavations.
Louis de Funès Museum: more than 350 items are on display, including personal photographs, on-set and film stills, drawings (notably by Louis de Funès), letters such as those from Jean Anouilh, and film excerpts, some of which are previously unseen. A digital tour of the Museum is available.
Promenade des Bains: this promenade was created between 1880 and 1882 under the name "Terrasse des Bains" (Bath Terrace). It can be considered the beginning of the tourist era in Saint-Raphaël.
The Jardin Bonaparte: a commanding position overlooking the bay and the old port, with 20,000 m² of gardens. Its central area is laid out as a public square with playgrounds for children.
