It is bordered by Agay to the east and Boulouris to the west.
Geography and nature
Cap Dramont: a rocky headland that is part of the Esterel state forest, offering very beautiful views over the sea, the Île d’Or, the Bay of Agay, and more.
Saint-Raphaël Tourisme
The Île d’Or: a small island about 200 metres off the cape. Square tower in a medieval/modern style, made of red Esterel stone. Private property for a long time.
The coast is made up of the characteristic rocks of the Esterel: red rhyolite and, more rarely, esterellite (bluer rocks). These elements contribute to the beauty of the landscape, with cliffs, coves and beaches mixing rock and sand/pebbles.
The coastal path crosses the area, allowing lovely walks between sea and nature.
Saint-Raphaël Tourisme
The small harbour of Poussaï: a charming fishing harbour, with a beach that is both rocky and wooded.
Saint-Raphaël Tourisme
The semaphore perched on Cap Dramont (built in 1860 on the ruins of an old 16th-century watchtower): it overlooks the sea and offers panoramic views.
History
The Dramont has a strong historical dimension, particularly military: the Landing beach (or Dramont beach) was a key site during the Provence landings on 15 August 1944. About 20,000 GIs of the 36th “Texas” Division landed there with tanks and artillery.
The porphyry quarries played an important role in the local economy.
The district has a working-class component, with housing estates built to accommodate quarry workers. This forged a fairly working-class social identity with strong local cohesion.

Neighbourhood life
There are water leisure areas, such as the Dramont lake (a former quarry) for family activities.
Saint-Raphaël Tourisme
Walks, hiking (notably on Cap Dramont), nature watching and diving (the “Pyramides du Dramont”) are very popular activities.
The district mixes residential areas, second homes and facilities for permanent residents. It has a natural, calm character, even though it can be busy in the summer season.

Atmosphere and feel
An atmosphere deeply rooted in nature: sea, rocks, Mediterranean vegetation, and tranquillity outside the tourist peaks.
A spectacular landscape with a contrast between the red of the rock, the blue of the sea and the green vegetation of the Esterel.
A sense of heritage: the military and geological history, the working life and the local traditions are still visible, a source of pride for the residents.
